'The Outsider'
For
the last few weeks, this site has given you a greater
insight into various aspects of what it is like
to be an Open House owner and exhibitor. This week
sees the start of a new series of articles that
look at the Open Houses from a completely different
viewpoint - yours. ‘The Outsider’
is a new section of the site where an art-lover,
based in London, is invited to partake of the Open
Houses in the Festival and share with us what it’s
like to experience the whole thing for the very
first time. He will walk parts of several trails
based on our maps, which
will then be reproduced
here weekly with his articles. The Open House
owners do not know who the Outsider is, nor
will they be told when he is coming. The idea
is that his experience should be just like
yours.
If you’ve always wondered what it’s
like in all those houses with ‘Open
House’ banners outside, here’s
your chance to find out before taking the
plunge yourself.
