I am very lucky to have a small permanent exhibition at The Claremont House Hotel in Hove where I exhibit a changing selection of lights and screens. The intention of this exhibition is to show how easily it is to fit stained glass objects into the modern home. The pieces displayed, though made using traditional techniques are not traditional in their style, but reflect modern and eclectic tendencies.
At the Hanover Community Centre I shall be showing a range of lights, along with glass tiles and coasters.
In the future I would like to work with fused glass and create pieces that involve more connection between glass and metals such as Steel, Copper and Pewter.
I have always had a love of Art Deco and decorative art from all ages and Art deco often influenced my early designs. Nowadays, when I see designs or objects that really thrill me I photograph them (I always keep a small camera with me). I then try to find a way of reinterpreting those designs or objects in glass.
