I think it was a build up of creative energy that had no focus. Now, it has a focus and I am a happy more rounded person for that. As well as my work in the studio I do Art demonstrations which seems to fulfil the performing side which is still there.
The new work I’m showing this year is of two entirely different subjects. I have some new Landscapes from my trip to Ireland in September last year, strong oils with one or two smaller pastels.
I also have my new Oil and Collage ‘Faces & Figures’, although so far its just the faces. I’m very excited by these as I’m blending the realistic classical training I’ve had with collage and colour. So far I have five or six pieces but I can see this will be a theme to keep my attention for a while.
