All our venues are individual and will provide a warm
welcome and an opportunity to view original work in
a relaxed atmosphere. Seeing the art in a domestic setting
makes it much easier to imagine how it will look in
your own home - plus there is the chance to meet and
talk to the artists, who will always be pleased to answer
any questions.
You will meet a great diversity of artists on the Seven
Dials Trail, from the professionals with many years
experience - such as Cecil
Rice and James Lightfoot, two of Brighton’s
established and leading artists - to new young artists
just beginning their careers.
The Seven Dials trail supplies entertainment for all
the family – at the Glass House there are children’s
activities in the summer-house. The Avondale centre,
which features work by artists with learning disabilities,
also provides art and mosaic workshops.
Claudia Rivers Bland houses an exhibition in an intimate
walled garden and Chris Shaw will be showing work in
the artists’ garden studio, whilst at Six you
can see many artists who are amongst the old favourites
of the Open Houses, such as Jane Arkwright, Lis Lawrence
and Victor Stuart Graham.
