All the news from week one
...more from week 2
How was it for you?
The first weekend came and went with a flurry of activity here at Liquid 6. Well, to be more accurate, not here at all but in the various Open Houses that the people who work here are exhibiting in.

They were all off hanging and installing, leaving only a skeleton crew to man the site - and what a week to have a skeleton crew!

The Outsider has made his first visit to the Festival, Christina Ure, our Open House Virgin, has survived her first weekend - no thanks to Nigella Lawson - and we launched the new Gallery section on the site. This shows current work in Open Houses that don't fit into our Artist or House Profiles. There was much to do with less people - we're very tired!

So, a visit to the Happy House would seem in order. This new Open House is an Independent and well worth a visit - it's one of those houses where the artists are as interesting as the art and thus the best kind to experience. Say hello to Sam the dog while you're there, too.

James Lightfoot is our featured artist this week, exhibiting from Galerie 5 in Victoria Road, Brighton. James made the move to being a full time artist a little under three years ago and talks about what it's like to 'battle with an unresolved canvas'.

From this week, the site will also update more than once a week as we bring you more features, more profiles and more of everything Open House.

The Forums are pretty quiet - there's no need to be shy! If you're a visitor to the Open Houses log on and tell the owners what you enjoy, what you dislike and things you'd like to see. They're your Forums and the artists would appreciate your input.

We hope you enjoy the site, now running at full capacity and keep checking back for updated content over the coming weeks. We can see that the maps are a big hit as the download figures for them continue to rise. Remember, they are
to - scale Ordnance Survey maps, the most accurate you can get - and they're free!

Until next week - happy house hunting!
