Will the cup
final this Saturday mean more or less visitors for the
Open houses? We shall have to wait and see.
One of the houses featured earlier our House Profile
section received a coveted 5
star review in the Latest
Fringe Stars awards. Artist Petra Joy told us:
'It was a mad rush transforming my home into an
art gallery and party venue. The giant antique gold
frames with my sensual portraits had to go up onto the
walls. Chocolate had to be melted to the right temperature
so it would flow beautifully over the chocolate fountain
which became the centre piece of my lounge. Strawberries
had to be piled around it. Champagne was being chilled
in ice buckets in the kitchen-come-bar.
At 6 pm I thought we would never make it happen. At
7.55 I was wondering if it was all worth it? Many sleepless
nights and a lot of money poured into a sensual art
party. By 9.30 my home was heaving with around 100 guests
who feasted on strawberries dipped into melted chocolate,
sipped champagne and enjoyed my artwork.
I was proud and happy to have inspired so many people
by inviting them into my boudoir.'
Our congratulations to Petra! To find out more
