Claudia Rivers Bland exhibits a varied selection of
bold decorative prints Some of Claudia’s work
investigates and experiments with vibrant colour and
pattern that can be likened to ethnic designs, but the
main focus for her work is a cross between abstract
and representational images. The printing process creates
many different opportunities for layering colour and
imagery that builds up a rich depth of colour and surface
texture.
Sue Haseltine exhibits a dynamic selection of paintings
and prints. Her work explores abstraction and representation
through etching and painting. Natural forms and landscapes,
as well as the internal landscape of the mind frequently
inspire the abstract work. Sue also creates delicate
paintings of flowers and natural scenes, embracing colour,
seeking richness, vibrancy and depth. Sue is especially
influenced by early twentieth century abstraction.
Adam Gower exhibits ceramic work including affordable
domestic ware and ceramic light features. He is inspired
by natural shapes, preferring soft rounded forms for
his pots, and is influenced by African and Indian artefacts.
He is particularly interested in the imagery on North
Indian totem poles which help him create his unusual
light features.
