Bill Brandt's House
Annabel Wilkes' house
Petra Joy's House
Six, 6 Clifton Street, Brighton

While the core of the show has been painting and printmaking, many other disciplines have always features prominently as well. Sculpture, ceramics, jewellery and textiles have been included every year. There were also Peter Chrisp's 'celebrity sandwiches', which defy catagorisation.
One problem we seem to have had is saying no to people, so whilst we started with 10 artists, last year we had 17. This year we thought we ought to ring some changes to avoid getting into a rut, and while we still have 17 artists, 5 are exhibiting the house for the first time this May.
Strange as it may seem, it is quite fun having hundreds of people looking round the house. We get to see friends we haven't seen in years, meet some interesting new people and get to live with some wonderful art for a month. Enjoyment is really the only thing that compensates for the huge amount of effort and disruption that occurs here every April and May.
