Anyway on to more important things:
the cakes went well this week, though as I said above, mostly into the stomachs of family and friends. The introduction of a poppy seed orange syrup cake and a chocolate & coffee cafe were also a resounding success (burp).
The tulips in the front garden have mostly gone over. There was one point on Saturday morning when I was outside looking down on my magnificent tulips one second and a gust of wind later was looking down on a bunch of de-petaled stems. There is now only one clump of Menton tulips remaining but I don’t know if they’ll last to next weekend.
