Childcare, as always, is a big issue. Ethan’s card-making was a blessing. I bought the blank cards, envelopes and plastic sleeves from ‘Clarkes’ the stationers and left the rest to Ethan. Not only was it an excellent entertainment but it also turned out to be a good earner for him…..he sold his entire stock of twenty-eight cards (donating two cards to his friend, George, so he could join in) and made £30 after expenses (his nana paying £2 per card ….her choice!!).
It is, as always, a delight to work with nice people and that would be my advice to anyone considering opening their house - choose people you like, as you’re going to spend a lot of time with them. Would I do it again?
I wouldn’t miss it for the world…
