One of our favourites for this year and a new house as well. David Williams shows a warm, graphic style allied with serious painterly skills in his beautiful and exciting work. Along with 4 other artists we think this is one house that will become an established venue on any visitor's list .

Open Houses and how to run them - 10 Golden Rules

In his final article about running an open house, Bill Black looks at the practical side of opening your home to the public. How do you work out where to put things, take money, work out commission, sort out the rota, etc?

Podcast hiccups - fixed!

If you’re one of those clever folk who subscribe to our podcasts through itunes then you will have noticed that we had a bit of a hiccup last week. The subscriptions were refusing to update, saying that we were ‘not a valid podcast’. Cheek!
However, we are delighted to report that after much head scratching, searching of the internet and loading and reloading of files, we’ve solved the problem and everything is back to normal now. We are also delighted to report that it really was all Apple’s fault, too, a bug in the itunes software that sees website addresses in the mp3 files as the subscription address instead of the real one. As we put the text of the articles in the mp3 file and some of this contained website addresses, the problem occurred. We've altered the files now and all is working as it should.
So, if you subscribe, just update the files as usual. It will show all files available to ‘Get’, new and old alike. Simply get the ones you haven’t got, clear the ones that it’s telling you to get that you already have and all will be well.
Isn’t technology wonderful?
