I sculpt figurative works, mostly in cold cast bronze. I draw, paint oils and watercolours, and teach watercolour painting at a local centre. I have studied calligraphy and design and produce stained-glass works and pottery.

Born and brought up in Brighton, as a child I won many school art competitions and an award from the Brighton Argus newspaper. From there, I studied the varied forms of art, both in 2 and 3 dimension.

I completed a 3-year Certificate in Art course at Brighton University in the 1980’s, then a 2-year course in sculpture with the Open College of the Arts, which is part of the Open University. I helped found the Sussex Sculptors Group, together with other students who had attended that course. I later began work in calligraphy, pottery, stained glass, mosaics and silver jewellery.
