They had bought several small paintings of fruit at my studios ‘open day’ and asked me why I didn’t paint fruit any more? That was the beginning. The ’FLESH’ paintings are being exhibited in the restaurant Terre a Terre throughout May and June and they lead on to the next body of work I am going to paint, also for exhibition in Terre a Terre called ‘Strange Fruit’. So, what’s going to be in my open house, I hear you say?
Every year when I exhibit my work people ask me for prints of the originals as they can’t afford the actual painting but love the image so, this year, I am trying to produce mounted prints of the original paintings and also postcards. This is unknown territory for me and is by no means sorted yet but I’ll keep you posted.
