The roads were very twisty and we arrived at our farm house, surrounded by peach and fig orchards, in the middle of the desert. To our delight there was a small swimming pool for us to cool ourselves in under the hot sun.
One of the most beautiful sights came after supper. Because we were in such a remote area with little or no light pollution the stars were brilliant against the night sky.
21st December: We got up early to catch the sunrise and went for a walk with Kevin and Alison in the scrub desert.
