My wife bakes cakes for sale and they outsold work the first year! We usually give visitors a free cuppa if they ask nicely. I am aware some folk don't always feel comfortable hanging around. This is especially true if they're on a tour or feel the work is not for them. In that case I try to keep out of their way. My son woke me up one morning to greet an extended family of 12 including grandparents and babe in arms. ‘What!’ I thought ‘a whole dynasty of Art lovers’. My eyeballs were going like a cash register and my hands sweating pints as they cooed and giggled over the pictures. I was planning how to spend the money they were going to shower on me when I spotted them hopping from foot to foot. They consulted and a woman stepped forward. I heard them saying, ‘should we tell him?’  They did. They had seen the address in the brochure. The family were brought up in the house and couldn't resist seeing it again.
