I applied to be
on the next Rolf on Art show when they showed a phone number
to call at the end of ‘Rolf on Art - The Mona Lisa’ programme.
I had to say in 30 Seconds why I should be picked. I said
that I have just won a competition naming me ‘Brighton
Artist 2005’ and that I was very impressed when they
did the Mona Lisa. I said I thought it would be great to
take part in a unique version of Henry VIII.
After a
couple of days the BBC phoned and interviewed me. I then
had to send examples of my work and get references for them.
A short while later I got a letter to say that I was successful!
I would be one of the 108 artists taking part out of 3000
original applicants.
