As for the art stuff, well, I’ve been organisation personified. I took my photographs of my paintings to my mate Bill so that he could help me make them presentable.

Well I’m going to give you a good piece of advice now - when it comes to computers, if you haven’t done it before and you have a time constraint, pay your mate-who-can to do it for you. By all means sit next to him or her so you can pretend you’re learning a new skill but don’t kid yourself that you could have done it. I sat there as Bill whizzed things around in ‘Photoshop’, his fingers a blur. Any single one of the many things he did would have taken me hours to figure out. Yet the whole thing only took him an hour (at mates' rates) and it is the wisest money I will spend this year. Needless to say the images are great and have gone off and we await the proofs from the printers. Nothing like leaving it a little late!

The postcards look great. I proofed the ‘ink run’ today and it’s a funny thing, when I see my paintings in print it makes my heart jump - in a nice way.
