Fred's Diary - PV's and Red Dots

If you do buy something, the next time you look at your purchase it will have a red dot on it, or on the wall nearby. This shows that the item has been purchased. If it is unique, like an oil painting, it means that anyone else interested has missed the boat! If it is a multiple – a limited-e dit ion print or photograph, for example – there may be several dots by it. These will be added to until the e dit ion has sold out. It is usual for your purchase to remain on show until the end of the exhibition, but if you have come from afar, you may be allowed to take it away there and then. There is usually no problem in taking away ceramics and other small items – these will be replaced. But don't forget to take your cheque book – only a very few houses take credit cards. See you at the next PV!
