I’ve been lucky enough to be accepted by the Seven Dials Trail, which was a great relief. I had initially applied to the Fiveways Group (a friend had foolishly offered me her house to exhibit in) but I was advised that I didn’t qualify due to my not being resident in their district.

I had viewed Open Houses from the other side for several years and wished I had the courage to do it myself, so spurred on by this rebuff I decided to go ahead.

This threw me into a bit of a quandary, as unfortunately our flat is very small and I didn’t know if my fellow Flatties would agree; However, as this was to be my very first Open House, I decided to grasp the nettle. Luckily all the other residents have been very helpful and encouraging and I had the go-ahead very soon. Due to the restricted space, I am flying solo with this exhibition of recent work.
